File this one under Recipe Failure. This was supposed to be the Easy Pesto Meatballs from the America’s Test Kitchen Slow Cooker Revolution cookbook. Despite foreseeing the result being inedible for my youngest who suffers dairy and nut allergies, I made it EXACTLY according to the recipe, with the parmesan and pesto sauce… and ended up with a bunch of disintegrated meat “balls” that were way too salty (although I had added exactly ZERO salt).
If you’re keeping score at home, that’s 1 Yay and 1 Nay so far for this cookbook. Tonight we’re trying the Aloha Porkchop recipe…
